Ralph
Ackerman
has
called
for the
district
to prod
state
and
county
police
for more
intense
efforts
to
enforce
the law
requiring
drivers
in both
directions
to stop
for
school
buses
taking
on or
discharging
children.
Such an
effort
is long
overdue.
We
recently
had an
experience
where we
were
passed
on the
right
shoulder
by an
impatient
driver
who
wouldn't
stop.

If you've been following Delaforum's
count of casualties in the Afghan war you see it has now reached another
milestone: 1,400 American service members dead.
With the holiday season coming on, we
should remember that we're still a nation at war and there are families
mourning loved ones who will not be experiencing joy.
