Clark sweeps
out the upper
floor of county government
Just four hours
after being sworn in as county executive, Paul Clark announced
that he had taken a broom to the top echelon of county
government. County attorney Gergg Wilson was named acting chief
administrative officer, the second ranking position, and Dennis
Phifer was appointed chief of staff. Wendy Danner, County
Council's lawyer, will be county solicitor and Dave Roberts, who
heads the 9-1-1 emergency communications unit, will assume
additional duties as acting director of public safety. Wilson
replaces Rick Gregory, Wilson succeeds Nicole Majeski and Danner
takes over from Carol Dulin. While announcing the moves in an
e-mail to county employees on Nov. 16 Clark reiterated his
intention to retain most senior management at least until the
turn of the year. |
