Concord High School renovations

Renovation of parts of the building is finished and they are in use. This first-floor corridor includes new lighting to brighten the school, which has relatively few windows -- a 1970s feature that has been modified but could not be completely changed.

The music department has completely redesigned quarters with separate rehearsal rooms for band and choral. From the start, Concord has had a strong program which now is housed with professional-level ambiance.

The building's heating, ventilation and air-conditioning  is being converted from a 'two-pipe' system to a 'four-pipe' one to permit separate operation and control. In the process, interior air quality is being improved. Like a large part of all building renovation, these things will not generally be visible when the work is finished.

The modular units will b removed and the front parking lot restored when renovations are completed. Most classes have been held in the modules this year, but parts of the building have been accessible and used.
