DELAFORUM PHOTO TOUR

Construction project manager John Read (left) and public information officer Wendy Lapham in one of the Harlan classrooms being renovated. The slate blackboards, in use since the school opened in 1933, are being replaced. Features such as the wood cabinets are being kept. So are most of the original hard-pine floors.  The classrooms differ markedly from each other. One even contains a small stage.

The auditorium is being redone but, after refurbishing, the seats will be returned. The administrative office across the hall will be given interior windows which will offer an unimpeded view of the front door and entrance foyer. The school is completely wired for computers, television and telephones.
